Community Standards

Effective July 20, 2026

Phomo is for real events with people you know or were invited to join. Hosts share a code or link; there is no discovery feed and no way to stumble into strangers’ albums.

You are responsible for what you post — photos, profile pictures, event covers, usernames, and event text. These rules apply to everyone.

What does not belong on Phomo

Invite-only does not mean anything goes. Only add people you trust, and speak up when something is off.

How Phomo handles safety

We do not run automated scanning on every upload today. Most safety on Phomo comes from small groups, host control, and people reporting problems.

Reporting

In the app (shared gallery):

  1. Open a photo in the post-event gallery.
  2. Tap ⋯ → Report photo.
  3. Pick a reason.

Reports are only available during the shared gallery window after an event unlocks. If you need help outside that window, email us.

By email: write to xrhuang10@gmail.com with:

We aim to review valid reports of serious or illegal content within 24 hours, including removing content and restricting the account responsible when that is warranted.

Blocking

Consequences

Breaking these standards can mean content removal, being removed from events, account restrictions, or a permanent ban. Serious violations may be referred to law enforcement.
